‘We’re losing birds’

Judith Kohler of AP covers the controversial conservation efforts involving Greater Sage-grouse protection. The story is published in the CasperTribune - ‘We’re losing birds’.
Loss of habitat is the culprit ~ the birds prefer not to have their mating grounds, leks, disturbed - and who’d blame ‘em? Current efforts are inadequate ~ listing is warranted ~ unfortunately, the politicization of U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) has rendered the agency more responsive to the livestock industry than the science - or the letter of the law. Western Watersheds Project has filed suit, which is currently pending.
